Patricia L. Jochum is a partner of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd.

With decades of employment law experience, Patricia is a resourceful and tenacious attorney who believes that no employee should be treated unfairly or denied opportunities rightfully deserved. She works to create workplaces that are free of these issues and seeks to champion a better work environment.

Patricia concentrates her practice of employment law in the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Illinois Human Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Patricia's experience includes advocating client interests before the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, theUnited States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois and federal courts, mediation and arbitration.

Patricia Jochum’s Leadership of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Continues

In May 2021, Patricia Jochum was elected for her second term to the Northwest Suburban BarAssociation Board of Governors.  In July 2021, because of exemplary leadership, she was renamed as Co-Chair of the 2021/ 2022 Employment Law Committee for the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and was named a 2022 Mock Trial Committee Co-Chair for the Association.

Patricia Jochum Receives Award for Community Education

In May 2021, Patricia Jochum was named a recipient of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association’s Golden Apple Award. This award was designated for attorneys who contribute their legal knowledge and experiences towards educating the community about the law. Patricia is a frequent speaker on employment law topics to both bar and lay groups.

Patricia Jochum Presents on the Amended Freedom to Work Act

On November 16, 2021, Patricia Jochum presented the Amended Freedom to Work Act and topical discussion to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Employment Law Committee.  The amendment, which takes effect on January 1, 2022, significantly changes the landscape of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements in Illinois. Attorneys present for Patricia’s presentation received continuing legal education credits. Patricia has submitted a blog for this important amendment to the Act.
