Dennis R. Favaro is a principal and managing partner of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd.

Dennis has practiced law for over thirty-five years and has served thousands of clients - all with one focus: using the law as a powerful tool to make a positive difference for his clients.

As studies have proven the significant connection between workplace and identity, Dennis has watched his work in employment law do two important things: correct his clients’ injustices and restore their livelihoods.

Employment law services can cover a wide range of cases. Always providing a client with the best possible care, Dennis has proven that his skills as a trial lawyer, litigator and mediator are equally important. He describes himself as an “aggressive advocate” for his clients, demonstrating deep compassion for their needs and unmatched zeal as he promotes their interests.

His nearly four decades of legal experience has allowed him to work with people from all walks of life and has given him a broad and unique perspective. Dennis believes in the importance of an intellectual yet heartfelt approach.

Dennis teaches employment law and dispute resolution courses as an adjunct instructor at Wheaton College and as a faculty member of William Rainey Harper College.

In addition to his practice, Dennis has founded employment law committees for two Bar associations, is a certified mediator, a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College and holds leadership positions in various charitable organizations and at his church.

Dennis Favaro to Speak About Workplace Violence

Dennis R. Favaro has been invited to speak about addressing and preventing workplace violence at MRA’s Annual Employment Law Update. A daylong conference is scheduled at the Harper College Wojcik Conference Center on January 31, 2019. Human resource professionals and others will be in attendance for this conference.

Mr. Favaro is a frequent speaker on employment law topics.

Dennis Favaro Elected President of the International Academy of Dispute Resolution

In June 2020, Dennis began a two-year term as president to lead a non-profit educational organization. The Academy’s programs primarily include sponsoring undergraduate and law school international mediation tournaments. The tournaments provide students from the United States and across the world the opportunity to learn about various forms and techniques used in mediations, as well as an opportunity to practice their mediation skills. Dennis has an advanced law degree (LLM) in dispute resolution from the prestigious University of Aberdeen School of Law.

Dennis Favaro Provides Mediation Training to US and International Law Students

In March and April 2021, Dennis Favaro provided virtual training to law students from the United States and abroad about mediation techniques and strategies. His presentation focused on opening statements and effective advocacy in mediation. The virtual presentation inMarch 2021 originated from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, India. In April 2021, Dennis’ presentation It’s Not About Winning: Effective Mediation Strategies for the Advocate was done virtually and originated from the University of Georgia, Tbilisi, Georgia. Both these training sessions were provided through the International Academy of Dispute Resolution for its mediation tournaments.
