Andrew H. Haber is a principal of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd. He has been practicing law since 1988 and concentrates his practice in employment and business law and litigation. Mr. Haber joined the firm after thirteen years with a downtown Chicago law firm, where his experience included the litigation of complex employment, consumer fraud, professional liability, mass tort and securities cases.
Mr. Haber received his undergraduate degree from Millikin University and his law degree and MBA from the University of Illinois. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1988 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, including the Trial Bar, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Mr. Haber’s practice includes the litigation of employment contract, discrimination, wage-hour, employee benefit, whistleblower, retaliatory discharge and unemployment compensation claims. He practices in the state and federal courts, including the appellate courts, as well as in the state and federal labor departments and human rights agencies.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Haber worked for several years in the insurance industry, where he earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims and Associate in Management designations. Mr. Haber is active in the Northwest Suburban Bar Association where he was a member of the Board of Governors from 2005-2014, Chair of the Employment Law Committee from 2001-2014 and Association Attorney from 2004-2005.
