Dennis Favaro’s Practice Philosophy

I am a trained and experienced trial lawyer. My practice philosophy is to avoid litigation, however, for the client, if possible. I engage in litigation only after all efforts to resolve the dispute are exhausted. I am a strong supporter of mediation and the opportunities it provides. I have participated in hundreds of mediations.  Those mediations include: pre-litigation, litigation and even post-judgment aspects of dispute resolution.

My litigation practice has predominantly been focused in federal rather than in state court.  I have been directly involved in hundreds of federal court cases.  The recent enactment of Illinois employment and civil rights laws has balanced the percentage of my firm’s practice between state and federal litigation.

My objective is to build a team approach with the client for their case. Toward that end, my law partners, paralegals and I zealously advocate for the client by negotiating, mediating, arbitrating, litigating and trying cases before juries.
