Patricia L. Jochum

Patricia L. Jochum represents individuals and management in employment matters in state and federal courts and agencies, including the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Her practice is concentrated in employment law with specific emphasis on employment discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and wrongful discharge.

Ms. Jochum is a partner in the law firm of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd. She received her B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1989 and her Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in 1991. She is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

She is an active member of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Employment Law and Mock Trial Committees, member of the Women’s Law and Long Term Planning Committees, immediate past Association Attorney and past member of the Nominating Committee. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Foundation and a Member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA).

Ms. Jochum has been a speaker on issues relating to the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Defamation, Handbook Preparation, sexual harassment and other employment-related matters for the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, the McHenry County Bar AssociationLorman Educational Services (for attorneys and human resource professionals), Parasource (education
for paralegals), civic groups and in partnership with Prairie State College.
