Dennis R. Favaro is a principal and managing partner of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd. He has provided legal counsel and services, including all aspects of litigation, to thousands of clients over his thirty plus years of practice. He has been recognized as a leading American Attorney in Employment Law and as a Super Lawyer. Mr. Favaro is listed in America’s Top 100 Attorneys.
Mr. Favaro received his undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, Master of Arts from Wheaton College, and his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law. Mr. Favaro is a faculty member of William Rainey Harper College where he teaches employment law courses and is an Adjunct Instructor at Wheaton College.
Mr. Favaro holds certifications from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, and a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Illinois (including the Trial Bar), the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is honored to have been selected as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and The Litigation Counsel of America.
Mr. Favaro is a frequent speaker on employment law topics such as sexual harassment, discrimination, whistleblower/retaliation, and wrongful discharge and has lectured about the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.
He is a former President of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and founded two employment law committees for two associations. In addition to his current practice, Mr. Favaro is a certified mediator and holds leadership positions in various charitable organizations and at his church.
